Organization SCRA Department Computer & Communications Information Technology Location Charleston, SC

Position Description

Primarily responsible for application, web and utility development using the .NET framework as defined by user requirements and design documents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Write code using .NET as defined by user requirements and design documents • Develop and implement Unit Testing processes and procedures • SharePoint development and deployment • Assist with other areas of the Application Development Life Cycle as needed • Write Sql scripts and stored procedures using Microsoft Sql Server ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years, or Masters degree and 3 years of related work experience in application or web development. Applicant with an associates’ degree in a computer related field will be considered with 7+ years of proven work experience. • Knowledge and experience with a mainstream programming language, such as VB.NET, C#, C++ or Java • Knowledge and experience with a mainstream RDMS, such as Sql Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSql • Experience with an Application Development Life Cycle methodology • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Some relevant experience preferred with the following technologies: o Microsoft Sql Server or other major RDMS, such as Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSql o ANSI SQL o Web technologies, including HTML, Javascript, CSS and AJAX o Web Servers (IIS, Apache) o Version Control using CVS or Subversion • Some general experience with o Object Oriented Programming o SharePoint or Web development o Automated deployment to multiple servers/environments source: https://hr.scra.org/careers/Careers.aspx
